The celebration of Diwali, the festival of lights came alive in pomp and grandeur in R.S.K Hr.Sec.School. The whole school wore a festive look with colourful students, elegant staff, glittering rangoly and delightful diyas. The charming back drop added perfect setting to festivity.
The show got its momentum with the lightining of the traditional brass lamp by the Principal Mr.M.Santhakumar and the Vice Principals Mrs. A. Arokia Mary and Mr. C. Jayaraj.
The sparkling shows like Western and Classical Dances, Songs, Skit and the vibrant Speeches the radiated the entire arena. In his special address the Pricipal wished the Students to have a delightful and a safe Diwali.

ONE DAY ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR TEACHERS
ORGANISED BY PAVAI GROUP OF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS
In the last academic year the teachers of RSK had the honour of visiting the premises
of Pavai to experience immense inspiration and motivation. This year the Chairman of Pavai was generous enough to send three of his scholarly faculties to the portals of RSK.

The teachers had a very comfortable and cheerful forenoon session with the presence of Dr.R.Kasturi Bai, Dean, Faculty Development of Pavai Group of Educational Institutions. At the outset she hailed that teaching is the profession that creates all other professions. She said that the teacher’s basic attention should be to enable the students get eligible marks. Teachers have to keep in mind, whatever is given to us we must make the best. The calibre of a teacher is to turn pebbles into diamonds. A good teacher distributes her work to the students. Madam also discussed the importance of communicative skills and updating the knowledge with the latest events.
After lunch break Mrs. C.Jayalakshmi, Dean Counselling, Pavai Group of Institutions reigned the session on the topic, “Teachers are Real Parents”. She made it clear that risk factor is prevalent in all the fields. So the teacher should be bold and courageous to tackle any kind of situation. A good teacher should be unbiased and should avoid comparing. Teachers are expected to give unconditional love to their students. Let us be a friend, mentor, sculptor and a guiding torch to them because we are involved in the task of moulding human minds.
Teachers, Mrs.N.Shabana Begum, Mrs.Uma Maheswari, Mrs.B.Umavathy, Mrs.N.Akila, Mrs. Sudha Raghunathan and Mr.Kumerasan registered their feedbacks. It was a great day of enrichment of knowledge, empowerment of values and eradication of misconceptions. It was a day of introspection of our teaching career. Most of the teachers felt that the sessions were filled with thought provoking discussions interspersed with fun and laugher.

THE 55th ANNUAL SPORTS DAY
The much awaited 55th Annual Sports Day of R.S.K. Higher Secondary School was held with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. The School SPL welcomed the esteemed gathering. The Chief Guest Shri.M.Thiruneelakandan G.M Finance, BHEL Trichy presided . He hoisted the flag and took the salute of the captivating March Past of the students. Shri.A.S Samad ,A.G.M HR and Medical , BHEL, Trichy was the special Guest of honour. After the solemn Oath taking Ceremony sports events entertained the enthusiastic spectators. The vibrant entertainment programme garnished the occasion. The Krishna House grabbed the much awaited Overall Trophy. Again the Krishna House won the honour of winning the Best Marching Contingent Award.
Congratulating the participants the Chief Guest said that sports gives maturity to a person and it should be an integral part of life.In his felicitation address Mr. Samad said that sports refreshes the student who is stressed.
A dance depicting the sacrifices of the three defence forces offered a grand finale to the days celebration. The school Administrator, the Principal, the Vice Principals and the Sector School Heads were there to host the eminent dignitaries and the exuberant audience.

Master Solomon Raja M. and Miss. Gifty T. of class Xll were bestowed as the SPL for boys and the SPL for girls respectively. Master Aathithya S. and Miss. Nikita Sarah Akers of class Xl took charge as ASPLs. Miss Smriti Mishra of class Xll was sworn in as the LDA President and Miss Danusa T. was assigned as LDA Secretary. The House Captains and the Vice Captains also took charge .
The Principal of the school Mr.M Santha Kumar Administered the oath and congratulated the new council members. . The new leaders were then conferred with sashes and badges. The Vice Principles also acclaimed and greeted them.

WORKSHOP ON CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT
Mr.S.R.Padmanaban, the Senior Principal of Sri.Swamy International School, Salem and Dr.V.Subbulakshmi, the Principal of Githanjali All India Sr.Sec School, Erode were the resource persons recharging the competency of the CBSE teachers of R.S.K Higher Secondary Schol recently. 54 teachers enthusiastically participated. The teachers were told that they have to start the Academic Year ahead with a fresh start to tailor to the needs of the 21st Century students in order to become proficient in this digitized economy. The teachers should be installed with many moral and social values which is a challenging task for the teaching fraternity. The school celebrated the International Yoga Day in the school premises. The Administrator, the Principal, most of the staff and the students participated.
