For the Teachers of R.S.K.
"If a doctor commits a fatal mistake, a life is lost.
If a judge commits a mistake, justice is lost. But
If a teacher commits a mistake, there will be chaos in the society."
Thus began, the Principal of the school, Mr.M.Mariappan. He proceeded saying that the value system of the society will be determined by a teacher. He insisted that the duty of a teacher is not just to transfer information from the text book to the students. The child follows the teacher by letter and spirit. The school plays an important role in the lives of the students.
The Principal further said that there should be space between action and reaction. Sometimes silence is the best response. If a parent provokes a teacher, the reaction of the teacher should be proactive. If the reaction is negative we would only damage the situation.
If the teachers are progressive, honest and hardworking they can bring back the glory of the school .R.S.K. is known for its excellence. A teacher has to come out of his comfort zone.He should be conscious that the mood of the teacher would affect his teaching.
Through Power Point Programme the Principal instructed that the teacher should be a master of the subject and should invent new methods of teaching. We can be a better teacher if our communication is good. Teaching methodology should be changed from time to time.
In his concluding remark the Principal said that teachers should keep in mind that they have to sandwich criticism between two layers of praise, to be successful in their endeavour to enchant the students.
